The Supermicro SSG-640P-E1CR36H is a powerful 4U Double-sided StorageTM Server that is ideal for high capacity storage applications with standard rack depth installation requirements. Popular in both cloud and enterprise environments.
The SSG-640P-E1CR36H features a dual-processor Intel Xeon Scalable CPU, with 16x DIMMs providing the computing power and flexibility for general purpose storage workloads as well as compute capability for data processing and text analysis. With support for up to 36 hot-swap 3.5″ SAS/SATA drives, and up to 4 NVMe this server offers ample storage capacity for large-scale data storage within a standard rack depth. The drive bays are driven by SAS3 12Gbps support and feature a built in JBOD expansion port for fast data transfer rates and expansion without opening the top.
In terms of memory, the SSG-640P-E1CR36H supports up to 4TB of DDR4 ECC memory in 16 DIMM slots, providing the server with the necessary memory resources to handle demanding workloads. The server also comes equipped with onboard dual 10GbE LAN ports, and a dedicated IPMI port for remote management.
With multiple x16 Gen4 PCIe expansion slots, multiple 25G to 200G NICs can be added. Additional features include redundant power supplies and advanced cooling options for reliable and efficient operation.
