The ThinkSystem SR630 V4 server is powered by dual Intel® Xeon® 6 processors with a new class of Performance-cores (P-cores) and provides up to 172 cores and support MRDIMMs for ultra performance. Compared to the previous generation, the SR630 V4 doubles the number of cores per rack and increasing performance for high density and scale out workload in customer segments like cloud service providers (CSP) and telecommunication service and financial services over the previous generations. The increase in cores per rack maximizes the number of workloads managed per rack. With the SR630 V4 a customer can consolidate workloads, reduce their data center footprint, and easily plan for future expansion.

Customers can choose the efficiency features that fits their workloads and data center requirements best. New with the ThinkSystem SR630 V4 is a redesigned bezel which improves airflow within the server by 5%. Intel’s P-core processors deliver unmatched levels of performance and power efficiency across the greatest range of workloads from AI, HPC, cloud services, virtualization to enterprise applications. With the P-cores the SR630 V4 reduces power consumption while maximizing performance. For maximum efficiency, the ThinkSystem SR630 V4 has the optional Neptune Core Module that reduces fan power consumption by up to 84%, cutting total power use by 34% per rack. The solution maximizes the system’s performance while reducing energy consumption.
