The ThinkSystem SD665 V3 with Lenovo Neptune Direct liquid cooling technology uses warm water cooling to remove heat from CPUs and other vital components. Because water provides superior heat removal compared to air, the critical components all operate at lower temperatures, delivering greater performance and density in a quiet, energy-efficient system.

Greater Performance & Density

The newest ThinkSystem SD665 V3 powered by dual 5th Generation AMD EPYC™ processors uses Neptune™ liquid cooling technology, which can run CPUs at a cooler rate than traditional methods. A single rack of ThinkSystem SD665 V3 servers can deliver more than half a petaflop of HPC compute power without using accelerators.

Quiet Efficiency

By using water cooling to maintain optimal component temperatures, the ThinkSystem SD665 V3 operates without fans, which are typically significant energy consumers. Customers who have adopted Neptune™ DWC systems report estimated energy savings of up to 40% through hardware and software optimization. The absence of fans not only reduces energy usage, but also eliminates fan noise, ensuring near-silent operation.
